Which types of cookies are processed, for what purposes and on what legal bases?

Cookies are small text files that websites can use to make their users' experience more efficient; they are sent to the user's browser, where they are stored and then sent back to the same website on the user's next visit. Some Cookies are intended to improve the functionality and navigation of the Website. In other cases, Cookies are used to track users while they browse and to record information on their activity, in order to personalize advertising and content, provide social media features and analyze traffic.

Technical cookies (Necessary)

This website uses only technical Cookies, which are used for the sole purpose of enabling the user to browse the Website and use its features; their use is therefore necessary and does not require the user's consent. Technical Cookies are normally session Cookies and are therefore automatically deactivated once the browser is closed. However, some technical Cookies are useful for storing certain user preferences so that they do not have to be set again on subsequent visits (so-called functionality Cookies). For this reason, functionality Cookies are often persistent Cookies, as they remain stored on the user's computer even after the browser is closed, until their set expiry date or until the user decides to delete them. Further details on the types of first-party and third-party technical Cookies used by the Website, and on their retention period, are available in the following table:
